    We're Free!!!
Life aboard the USS E has come to an end. The last 18 months were a success for MrE's career, but that came with a lot of sacrifice. Most days started at 5am and ended at 7pm, before deployment the days ended after midnight. Such was the life of the Chief Engineer on a 20+ year old ship. Who knows what the next ship holds? We're just happy to be half way through the department head tours. We're also hoping that life as the Training Officer will be a little less stressful. Hoping. MrE's last day couldn't have come at a better time. Since Friday I have not been feeling all that well. Given the amount of pollen that has been ending up on my car, I'm going to say that this is a sinus / allergy issue. Maybe a bug. Definitely not H1N1. So I have been up and around, but taking advantage of MrE's presence with a few naps here & there. What else can a first trimester mama do? The napping has also given Bean & MrE some boy time. Bean gets so excited when he sees MrE walk into a room. I, sadly, no longer exist...

We're getting ready for our marathon month... We're off to a friend's wedding in Omaha, vacation in San Diego, visit family in MA & then family in NC. Hoping to see everyone and looking forward to downtime together before sea duty life continues.

One a sad note, a local young man from back home was one of the recent losses of servicemen. He was a relative of my SIL. I was talking to my brother today and this young sailor sounded like such an honorable man. As a navy wife, family & friend of many active duty service members, I am just one of the many that share in the sorrow. The T family is in our prayers.
